At any stage in life we should be exercising. I mean, whether young or old there's no excuse on you not exercising. I am one big fan of exercising espcially during Pregnancy. I believe that it makes you more fit and prepares your body on the coming delivery of the baby. And believe me you, one really needs to prepare for the big task ahead.
I received the newsletter from Dr. Mercola which emphasises on the importance of exercise at any point of the pregnancy. It is for the benefit of both the mother and the child as stated in the report.
Exercise such as aerobics, impact and nonimpact activities, resistance training and swimming:
- Eases back and other musculoskeletal pain
- Lowers maternal blood pressure
- Reduces swelling
- Improves post-partum mood, including sadness.

Also, here are some simple exercise that I did while I was getting ready for the D-Day.
1. Sit like an indian. Yoga Style. Like this.
If you can do it nightly, that will be better.
2. To strengthen the legs and the back, hold on to the back rest a chair and try bending your knees down and rais yourself up. Maybe eight repetitions a day or if you can do more, then, why not.
Stretch everyday, starting from your neck, your legs, alsmot all your joints if you can.
Be sure to consult your OB-Gyn when you do this. Good luck and have a safe pregnancy!
